Someone created a hybrid League of Legends Pokémon game

Image via C me and Nintendo
Have you ever wanted to throw down against League of Legends pros in a game other than League? Now is your chance.
A modder has taken the assets of Pokémon Emerald and recreated the world of Valoran, the world that the characters of League come from, in the Pokémon universe.
The game is not an officially-licensed product and could be taken down at any given moment. Nintendo has a history of shutting down Pokémon fan projects, such as the highly anticipated Pokémon Prism—a Pokémon game made from the ground-up with a new region to explore and Pokémon to capture. It was taken down in December 2016.
The game is made for PC and follows the same premise as the Pokémon series (which was released more than 20 years ago in 1996). A player has to build a team to take on gym leaders while fighting off an evil organization (Noxus), all while trying to become the League champion.
Players have the chance to capture and train every champion available in League, except for those released after Camille last year.
The champions' abilities act as their movesets. Instead of badges, however, players are tasked with collecting ranks, going from Bronze all the way to Challenger. Once the player has collected every rank, they face off against the four teams that have won the World Championships: Fnatic, Taipei Assassins, Samsung White, and SK Telecom T1.
The game took two-and-a-half years to create, and boasts an immersive storyline for players to take part in.
"I really hope you have an enjoyable experience," the game's creator, C Me, said on the game's download page. "You will like this if you like Pokémon, League or both."
The game can be downloaded on the PokeCommunity website. If you are having trouble finding out how to run it, YouTuber MiningSpartan Official made a quick video explaining how it works.

New storyline gives lapsed ‘Pokémon Go’ players a reason to reinstall

The  Pokémon Go craze has definitely fizzled out over the last year or so, with several key promised features still not released yet, but lapsed trainers now have a reason to reinstall the game again. This week, new “field research” quests add narrative to what has largely been a player-driven multiplayer experience thus far. “A series of mysterious happenings is occurring all over the world, and Professor Willow is seeking trainers to help him found out if this is connected to the mythical Pokémon Mew,” Niantic said in an update post . “These research tasks will become available to trailers around the world later this week!” There will be two different categories of research during the event: “Field research” and “special research.” The former type can be triggered by visiting Pokéstops, and will task trainers with completing raids or gym battles or catching a certain type of Pokémon. Special research missions are longer, with trainers having to complete several ...

Pokémon Sun and Moon - how and where to catch Tapu Koko, Tapu Lele, Tapu Bulu, Tapu Fini

The Guardian Tapu Pokémon are Sun and Moon's version of the typical sub-legendaries that have been a new-generation staple ever since the Legendary Dogs Suicune, Raichu and Entei, way back in gen two. They're some of the best Pokémon in the game, thanks to dedicated Z Moves, abilities, and excellent stats, and so well worth your time. Each Tapu acts as a guardian for it's own island - Tapu Koko for Melemele, Tapu Lele for Akala, Tapu Bulu for Ula'Ula , and Tapu Fini for Poni Island - and are all found in their island's corresponsing ruins: the Ruins of Conflict , Ruins of Life , Ruins of Abundance , and Ruins of Hope , respectively. A final warning, too: the Tapu are only catchable after you've completed the main storyline of Sun and Moon, and so major spoilers follow below. Check out our complete Pokémon Sun and Moon walkthrough if you're still trying to finish it! Where to find and how to catch Tapu Koko - the Ruins of Conflict Tapu Ko...

Curious announcement in Pokémon GO Live’s Newsletter – Event starting April 10?!

Trainers, in the past few hours, some trainers have reported receiving a very curious email Newsletter from Pokémon GO Live, and we have managed to put our hands on it (thanks to pokeRangerCam, one of our Discord members) The Newsletter covers a variety of topics ranging from the recent addition of Research, the Pokémon GO Earth Day Cleanup, April Community Day (our guide here ), Gym Leader Avatar clothing, to a spotlight on Nidos Pokémon GO Argentina . However, the curious announcement we are referring to consists of three very short lines at the very end of the Newsletter. The announcement goes as follows: Trainers, starting April 10, we’ll be hosting a special celebration in honor of the Kanto region in Pokémon GO! Keep your eyes on the official Pokémon GO website and social media channels for more information surrounding this event. As we all know, it doesn’t take much for the Pokémon GO community to speculate, but such a vague statement certainly allows peo...
