A New Mythical Pokemon Has Been Revealed

marshadowheader
The Pokemon Company has officially revealed the final "Gen 7" Pokemon, Marshadow. In a trailer released early this morning, the Pokemon Company finally acknowledged the Pokemon's existence, but declined to release any other details about the Pokemon. You can check out the official reveal trailer below:
Marshadow will have some sort of role to play in the upcoming Pokemon the Movie: I Choose You, as it lives in Ash Ketchum's shadow. The plot focuses on Ash trying to find Ho-Oh, the Legendary Pokemon he saw on the first day of his Pokemon journey 20 years ago.
While we don't have any "official" details about Marshadow, a datamine of Pokemon Sun and Moon revealed tons of info about the new Mythical Pokemon last month. Marshadow is a Ghost/Fighting dual-type Pokemon and is known as the "Gloomdweller" Pokemon. As seen in the movie trailer, Marshadow lives in the shadows of others and has hid its existence from humans for years.
Marshadow's Signature move is "Spectral Thief," a Ghost-Type move that deals out physical damage and also steals an opponent's stat boosts. It can also use the unique Z-Move "Soul-Stealing 7-Star Strike."
It's a bit of a surprise that the Pokemon Company revealed Marshadow already, especially as its the last unrevealed Pokemon for the latest generation of games.
There's been no official word on how players can get Marshadow for Pokemon Sun and Moon, but it will likely be tied to a distribution tied to the release of Pokemon the Movie: I Choose You later this year.

Nintendo's Failure To Give The Switch A Proper Pokémon Game Is Inexcusable

Nintendo/Paul Tassi The Dream Yesterday was a strange day for Nintendo fans who tuned into a new Pokémon Direct hoping for some relatively simple news: Pokémon is coming to the Nintendo Switch. Of course, technically, that did happen, but only in the form of Pokken Tournament getting ported over from the Wii U to the Switch in a new “Deluxe” package . But the fully-fledged Pokémon games featured in the show, Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon and Gold and Silver for Virtual Console, were relegated to the 3DS. After the show, there was a brief flare-up of hope that due to a rogue listing, it appeared that Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon may get a Switch release after all, but The Pokémon Company quickly shut that rumor down , saying the listing was a mistake. Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon are 3DS only, and there are no plans to bring them to the Switch. The two magic words everyone was looking for yesterday were “Pokémon Stars,” the long rumored, even offic...
