A new update will be getting released for Pokemon Go next week and it looks like the biggest new "feature" is a brand new loading screen featuring Steelix. The design is an obvious riff on Pokemon Go's original loading screen, with Steelix in the place of Gyarados. The giant Steel-Type Pokemon explodes out out of the ground as a player walks by obliviously.
While most of the recent screens have referenced a current or past special event, it's likely that the new loading screen is just a celebration of the Gen 2 Pokemon now in the game. The previous screen referenced both the New Year's event and the inclusion of Baby Pokemon to the game.
You can check out the full image in the photo gallery, as well as all the past loading screens. Let us know which is your favorite in the comments below!
