The New Pokemon Trading Card Game Expansion "Guardians Rising" Is Now Available

The first expansion for the Pokemon Trading Card Game's "Sun and Moon" series is officially available. The "Guardians Rising" expansion contains over 160 cards, including a whopping 45 Ultra-Rare or Secret-Rare cards that will keep collectors searching for months.
Like the first "Sun and Moon" series, Guardians Rising continues to add both Alolan Pokemon and GX cards to the Pokemon Trading Card Game. GX Cards are powerful Pokemon cards with moves that can be used once per game. The GX cards are already a gamechanger in competitive play and will have even more of a role as EX-cards (the other powerful cards typically used in competitive decks) will probably be completely phased out over the next couple of years.
Right now, you can buy individual booster packs, a "Elite Trainer's Box" with 8 booster packs, a bunch of energy cards, and some accessories players can use in gameplay, or two pre-made Theme Decks based around Lunala and Solgaleo cards. Other boxes and tins featuring the Guardians Rising cards will be released in the coming months.

The  Pokémon Go craze has definitely fizzled out over the last year or so, with several key promised features still not released yet, but lapsed trainers now have a reason to reinstall the game again.
