What Is Happening With That Rumored 'Pokémon' Game For The Switch?

A new 'Pokémon' game for the Switch is looking increasingly likely.
There have been some interesting developments regarding the rumored Pokémon game for the Switch that indicate we may have something more concrete announced soon.
Back at the end of 2016, rumors leaked of a new Pokémon game called Pokémon Stars for the Switch. This was intended to be a combined version of Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon but not much has been seen or heard about the game since.
At the start of last year, GameStop then leaked the news that we would have a new Pokémon game for the Switch, though that many assumed that was just to do with Pokkén Tournament DX.
However, late last year Tsunekazu Ishihara spoke with Bloomberg and dropped this quote:

With the Switch, we see it as a chance to create Pokémon that goes deeper and with a higher level of expression. As a result, that makes it an extremely important platform.
Bear in mind, this quote was made after the release of Pokkén Tournament DX in the Summer, so Ishihara was clearly referring to something else here.
In addition, there are rumors that Bandai is now apparently planning on bringing out some Pokémon plushies to tie-in with a new Switch game.
This new piece of information comes from the French site Pokegraph and says that this leak is to do with a reveal sometime in May from Bandai, which would likely mean a game announcement would be before that.
However, not everyone is convinced about these potential toy announcements and Bandai is not confirming the existence of these toys either.
That said, Ishihara confirmed last year that a new Pokémon game was on the way and would take a year or so to finish, which fits with the timing of the Bandai toys rumor.
We also know that Game Freak is also done with making Pokémon games for the 3DS so the next logical step would be the Switch, something again that Ishihara's comments confirm.
In any case, the Switch needs some big first-party releases this year and they don’t come much bigger than Pokémon. With any luck, a big new announcement for the game will be made soon, as there are now far too many indicators here that point to that eventuality.

For Your Pokémon GO Mew Hunt, Here's Which Gen 1-3 Pokémon Can Be Ditto Now

Niantic Pokemon GO While the first Mews are already being collected by die-hard Pokémon GO fans, for most of us, the journey is going to take quite a bit longer . While the first few steps of the Mew “Special Research” quest are pretty easy, eventually, you’ll start running into a few walls like having to evolve a Gyarados or land an excellent curve throw (skill dependent, of course). But one of the “gates” is mostly based on luck. Professor Willlow seems to think Mew is disguising itself as other Pokémon, so it wants you to catch a Pokémon who can also do that. And you guessed it, that’s Ditto. Ditto was one of the Gen 1 stragglers introduced late into the game because I’m pretty sure it took a while for Niantic to figure out how to code him. But now, three generations later, Ditto no longer just appears as random Pidgeys and Ratattas, but rather a whole host of Gen 1-3 Pokémon. I had no idea what the full list of curre...
